Client:   Engineering Firm

Location:  Saskatchewan, Canada

Supplied and installed Phase 1 of construction communications systems and data com networks for large construction offices on a rural mine site.  Constructed a temporary data centre and installed fibre optic and copper cabling to support the offices, vertical shaft construction facilities, and a temporary communications shelter.

MINE COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Radio Communications
for a Remote Copper Mine

Client:   Engineering Firm

Location:  Panama

Designed and installed a hand-held safety and vehicle communications system for a large mine site. Implemented a reliable communications network for the construction site, including hand-held radios and Wi-Fi coverage supported by mountain-top repeaters extending across 100 km. Also installed a Motorola Canopy System to ensure seamless connectivity for the camp and offices.

INTERNATIONAL MINE COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Complete Turnkey Communications
for a Remote Nickel Mine & Plant Site

Client:   Engineering Firm

Location:  Madagascar

Designed, supplied, and installed a complete turnkey communications system for a remote international mining operation in Madagascar. This multi-phase project involved connecting a mine and a processing plant located 300 kilometres apart, as well as establishing full communications infrastructure for large construction camps, process buildings, and permanent living quarters.

From satellite systems and hurricane-rated communications towers to fibre optic cabling, radio networks, and advanced security solutions, the project demonstrates our capability to deliver reliable, large-scale communications in some of the most challenging environments.

Phase 1 – Satellite & Radio Connectivity

To establish long-distance connectivity, we built a multi-site mesh satellite network linking the mine and plant site. This backbone enabled reliable data and voice communications between the facilities.

At the plant site, five free-standing communications towers were constructed, each standing 150 feet tall. The primary tower was engineered to withstand category 5 hurricane conditions, ensuring uninterrupted service in extreme weather.

A Motorola-based communication system was deployed, combining vehicle-mounted units and handheld radios, providing site-wide connectivity for staff working across both facilities.

Phase 2 – Fibre Optic Network

To strengthen and expand the communications backbone, 500 kilometres of fibre optic cable were installed across the project. The largest link directly connected the mine and processing plant, providing high-speed, reliable transmission for voice, data, and control systems over the 300-kilometre span.

Phase 3 – Camp & Facility Infrastructure

Communications infrastructure was also delivered for two 10,000-person construction camps, process buildings, and permanent living quarters. This included:

Voice & Data Communications – providing robust networks to support operations and administration.

CATV Entertainment Systems – offering quality television services to improve camp living standards.

Access Control & CCTV Security – ensuring safety and secure site management through monitored entry points and surveillance systems.

The project was in a remote and demanding environment, and all solutions ensured continuous, secure communications critical to the mining operations.

FIBRE OPTIC COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK EXPERTS

Fibre Optic Communications Network
and CCTV Camera System
for a Gas Production Field

Client:   Oil and Gas Company

Location:  British Columbia, Canada

Designed, supplied, and installed a fibre optic network to support communications and CCTV cameras across the entire gas production field. The network provided reliable, high-speed connectivity between production facilities, control rooms, and remote monitoring of well sites, enabling real-time data transfer, operational coordination, and enhanced safety.

We set up a full-site surveillance and security monitoring system that enabled real-time video monitoring of production facilities, access points, and critical infrastructure, supporting operational safety, incident response, as well as remote supervision.

This network was for a remote environment, and the solution ensured continuous, secure communications critical to the field’s operations.

PIPELINE SECURITY PROJECT EXPERIENCE

CCTV Camera System
for a Pipeline Project

Client:  Oil and Gas Company

Location:  Alberta, Canada

To support the safe operation of a large-scale pipeline project, members of our team designed and installed a comprehensive CCTV camera system. The solution included strategically placed surveillance cameras along critical sections of the pipeline, pump stations, and control facilities. The system was integrated into a central monitoring hub, providing real-time video feeds, remote access, and recording capabilities.

This infrastructure enhanced site security, improved operational oversight, and ensured compliance with industry safety standards.
